Matt Drudge Lies

To me, this is plainly crossing the line between sensationalism and outright fabrication. The pic and caption from TheDrudgeReport:

President Obama will call attention to the existence of the underground facility in an early-morning statement to reporters here before the opening of the G-20 economic summit, and will say that Western intelligence agencies have been tracking the facility for years. U.S. officials said Obama decided to disclose the program's existence after learning that Iran had become aware that it was no longer a secret.



So who, exactly, was caught by surprise?

I think the Iranians were surprised. They either didn't know until recently that we knew about it or they didn't expect Obama to make an issue of it. Beyond that... I was surprised. Well not really. We should have nuked that shit a while ago.

Well, we should've carpet bombed them at least (look back, I've said it's Iran that's the real problem for years) however that's not what Drudge meant by this sensationalist headline.
