Yahoo Catches Up To Me

If you followed me here from the old blog, you may remember my post the other day concerning not just the cost of gas, but upcoming changes in the way you pay. It seems that Yahoo is just catching on to the story--in fact, they're posting a reprint of the exact same AP article I linked to on Wednesday and calling it "news":

So what does this mean for you?
It means you can be safely assured that I will supply you will all the information you require. The Yahoo reprint fails to mention the town where prepaying is now the law. Yahoo also failed to point out the implied relationship between the "cash only" policies and instances of theft. I didn't:
The unfortunate consequence of all of this is that you may find yourself needing to be armed at the pump. If people are desperate enough to steal gas, sometimes leading to high-speed chases and endangered lives, then they’re definitely desperate enough to rob you when you pull up to the pump with your car and then walk toward the store.
Resistance is futile. Yes, you may bow.
